Bigg Boss 14: Rakhi Sawant opens up about going bankrupt, says the reality show’s prize money is her second chance at life

Bigg Boss 14 recently introduced 14 new challengers in the show and one of them is India’s favourite item girl Rakhi Sawant. The actress is well known for her antics on reality shows as well as in real life. Now, in an interview with a leading daily, she has opened up about joining Salman Khan’s reality show as she went bankrupt and is in desperate need of money. She said that the show will give her a second lease of life and opened up about battling depression.

She said, “Frankly speaking I am in need of money and I need a second chance to come to Bollywood again. I want to win the trophy and I always wanted to win a show, but it has never happened in my career. This time I want to win Bigg Boss 14. The prize money of Bigg Boss is very huge Rs 50 lakh and I want to win the cash prize as I want money. People must be thinking why I am suddenly in need of money and I want to tell everyone that in my personal life I’ve been cheated by someone. I can’t get my money back as the person who cheated me has died, so I am helpless. That person took all my money, properties and everything has died. Now, I am in need of money that’s why I accepted the offer of doing this show. I want to win the trophy, I know it is not going to be easy. There will be hardcore competition.”

She further added and revealed how she came about in this predicament and said, “I've realised the importance of education. I feel it is very important for a girl to be educated, if she wants to survive in the industry. A single mistake of mine has completely ruined my life. I became a fool and without thinking I signed documents and it became the worst decision of my life. I lost everything in life because of one signature. I was going to reveal all these things inside the Bigg Boss 14 house. I want to tell everyone it is not easy to become a celebrity and survive in the industry. I have realised the importance of education and I will tell everyone to think before trusting anyone and taking decisions. I have gone through a lot in life and most of my close people have cheated me. They actually made me broke and bankrupt. I have stopped trusting people.”

Rakhi is hoping to get a new start to life after entering the Bigg Boss 14 house.
