Following her eviction from the twelfth season of controversial reality show Bigg Boss, Jasleen Matharu has termed her relationship with devotional singer Anup Jalota as a “stupid prank” during an interview with a leading website. Drama ensued as Bigg Boss 12 commenced with Jasleen introducing Jalota as her partner on stage in the presence of Salman Khan but it turns out that it was nothing but a “joke” that remained “incomplete”, as revealed by Jasleen.
During her interview, Jasleen admitted that she thought of playing the ‘prank’ as it was a ‘premier show’ but soon after she told the audience of her ‘relationship’ with Jalota, neither did the singer react to it and Salman, as well sent them inside the house, Jasleen explained, adding that there was no scope left to explain that it was, in reality, a joke.

“The truth is that there has always been a guru-shishya relationship between us. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Anup ji had called me on stage by referring to me as his shishya. Since it was a premier show with Salman Khan and Anup ji, I immediately thought of playing a stupid prank. I went on stage and cracked a joke that we were in a relationship since three years and are going in the house as a couple. I thought Anup ji will react to the joke but he didn’t and in no time Salman sent us into the house. The prank was left incomplete and could not be cleared,” Jasleen told the website.
It was only after Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde made an appearance inside the house, that she was informed by the television actress that her alleged relationship with Anup has “turned into a huge mess”. If you remember, after Jasleen spoke of their ‘relationship’ on the stage during Bigg Boss 12, she along with Jalota were trolled because of the difference in their age gap – he is 65, she, 28.

“When Shilpa Shinde came into the house, she told me that the matter has turned into a huge mess. I got afraid and was hurt thinking that Anup ji has denied having any connection with me. I didn’t know he got so hurt by my prank. A very embarrassing situation appeared for him and for my family. My father was very upset over this. Now I have cleared everything after coming out of the house and all is well,” Jasleen added.
Jalota, as well, after his eviction in October, had told a news agency about his alleged affair with Jasleen, saying, “There is no girlfriend-boyfriend kind of relationship between us and we are also not involved in any romantic and physical relation.”
Jasleen Matharu was evicted from Bigg Boss 12 on December 8 along with Megha Dhade.
