Guru Randhawa started 2021 with a bang with his new single Mehendi Wale Haath. Presented by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the song features newbie Sanjana Sanghi who made her music video debut as Guru's love interest.

In Mehendi Wale Haath, Guru stepped into the role of a brave soldier. while Sanjana played the love of his life whom he sacrifices for the love of his nation. The song also highlights the romantic chemistry between Sanjana and Guru, who share screen space for the very first time. The song shows a story of Sanjana and Guru parting ways because of his duties as a soldier. Sanjana, in distress, then gets married to another man whom she is not in love with. However, throughout her wedding, she keeps thinking about Guru.

The track Mehendi Wale Haath is composed by the famed duo Sachet-Parampara and the lyrics have been penned by Sayeed Qadri. The music video has been directed by Arvindr Khaira

This romantic ballad teaches us that love exists both aspects, in holding on and in letting go as well.
