“Mujhe tum main kuch ajeeb si harkat lagti hai, as an actor. Mujhe aisa lagta hai main tumhare saath baithoonga, baat karunga, shayad ek do scene karunga, to woh harkat mujh main aa jayegi aur main better actor ban sakunga. He also praised Alia for her fine work in films like Highway and Udta Punjab, and also read out a letter to Alia written by her mother, Soni Razdan. With a mother’s keen insight Razdan wrote, “Alia, everyone says you are like me. I know that maybe this gets a little irritating for you. After all, every person wants to create their own identity. I believe that you left my shadow a long time ago. You are very much your own person. You do not need me to make any decision. I respect you deeply. Always stay this way. Love.”
Alia made her share of revelations as well, saying of her mentor, Karan Johar, “He is the most important person for me. His opinion is very important to me.”
The show, which some felt was a little low on spark, did have a few funny moments, like when SRK revealed his confusion over the new hashtags and slang of today. Apparently, he learnt the word bae just to impress Alia, he revealed, even as he said he had no idea about the meaning of words like YOLO, MOLO, TOLO. Of course Alia was in splits over the latter two, which are not words at all but just SRK’s mad wit at play!
