Best of 2020: It is a conscious decision to do roles which stand behind women and let them take the center stage - Vikrant Massey

For 'Best of 2020' with PeepingMoon, Vikrant Massey decoded his four different performances this year, his conscious decision to do roles that stand behind the women in films, how corporates have leveled the playing field for OTT, and his 'privilege' position of not getting typecast.

He also spoke about how it has been a semi-conscious decision for him to shoot one film at a time. About being in a privileged position where writers and audience haven't put him in a bracket, he said, "It's a conscious decision to do roles which stand behind the woman (in films) and let them take the center-stage. Very seldom does get an opportunity to speak on issues that are prevalent and that matters. And hume pata hai hamari society itne saal se patriarchal rahi hai. It's in the last 10-20 years we've seen women asking for their rightful position. Now we have so many women storytellers who've been closested and who want to tell their story. I would want to believe that I am one of those men who concede that the world and men have been very unfair towards women. I am just trying to do my bit through my work."
