Exclusive: ‘I let go of Mr.Bajaj due to Mr Corona,’ says Karan Singh Grover about opting out of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’

Karan Singh Grover is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Dangerous on OTT platform MX Player. He is reuniting with wife Bipasha Basu in the films. In an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon.com, Karan spoke about why left playing the popular role of Mr.Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor’s serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Interestingly, he blamed the coronavirus pandemic for his refusal to continue shooting for the show.

He said, “I left playing Mr Bajaj on Kasautii Zindagii Kay because of our not so good friend Mr.Corona. There were too many safety issues and limitations. Not only actors but everyone who work in the entertainment industry we already have a lot of limitations to what we can do and how we do it, it’s not easy. And adding all these things to it and not being certain whether everything will be safe is like a tricky position. But I understand that they had to continue with whatever they can.”

The role of Rishabh Bajaj was made iconic by Ronit Roy in the original serial. In the reboot Karan stepped into his shoes and was appreciated as well. Currently, Karan Patel is essaying the role in the reboot that has Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Aamna Sharif in the lead.
