Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, with their portrayal of real-life sharpshooters Prakashi and Chandro Tomar in their upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh, are all set to rule over the audience and box-office and there ain't a denial. With an interesting and exciting trailer, the makers injected the right amount of curiosity and now, as the film inches closer to its Diwali 2019 release, the songs from the film have become the talk of the town. With the catchy number Udta Teetar climbing up the charts, the team behind the film, on Thursday, released the second track titled Womaniya. The name of the song though reminds us of the rendition by the same name in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs Of Wasseypur, this Taapsee and Bhumi starrer has much more that celebrates womanhood in the right spirit.
The song starts with Taapsee and Bhumi discussing vasectomy while the former is puffing hookah and the latter is playing with marbles sitting on a charpai. Soon, they are shown making an impactful and swag-filled entry donning ghaghras and sunglasses as they arrive into the scene on a tractor. Womaniya features the younger version of both the central characters. Unleashing their inner sass, Taapsee and Bhumi twirl in ghagra and match steps with each other in this song that pays a perfect tribute to womanhood. Womaniya is a peppy number by singers Vishal Dadlani and Vishal Mishra. Mishra has also composed the song while lyrics are by Raj Shekhar.

Saand Ki Aankh is about the real-life shooter dadis Prakashi and Chandro Tomar, who hail from Johri village in Uttar Pradesh and reportedly took to sharpshooting in their fifties. They are said to be the world's oldest female sharpshooters, and while Chandro is fondly called Shooter Daadi, Prakashi is known as Revolver Daadi. Reliance Entertainment presents Saand Ki Aankh produced by Reliance Entertainment, Nidhi Parmar, Chalk n Cheese Films and creative director, Anurag Kashyap. The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and will release on October 25, 2019.
