He was magnificent, I won't be able to do it like him: Riteish Deshmukh on playing a dwarf in 'Marjaavaan' and comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan from 'Zero'

The makers of Milap Zaveri's Marjaavaan launched the trailer of their film today. The film, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh, promises to be an out and out action-drama. At the trailer launch event, the actors spoke about their film and their experience shooting for it.

During the event, Riteish who plays the character of a dwarf in the film was asked about being compared to Shah Rukh Khan from Zero as even he had played a vertically challenged role. To this, Riteish answered, "Firstly, unfortunately, I have not seen the film but when I had gone to Shah Rukh Sir's Zero sets, he sat with me for around 45 minutes and shown me how he shot for the film and prepared for it. I also saw him perform live and he was magnificent. I thought what they had done was extraordinary. And no matter how much I try, I won't be able to do it like him. So, I stopped trying. How much ever I could do in my limitation and my director told me, I did."
