Aamir Khan to sport 'Guru Da Kada' gifted by Gippy Grewal as a token of friendship in 'Laal Singh Chadha'

Aamir Khan, after missing for quite some time on the big screen, is gearing up for the shoot of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chadha, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. And as the film is about to go on floors, the makers along with Aamir headed out on a location recce across India including one to Punjab. During their visit to the state, the 3 Idiots actor received a special gift from Punjabi star Gippy Grewal. The token was 'Guru Da Kada' which is considered auspicious for Sikhs and Punjabis. 

Gippy offered him the gift as a token of friendship. Humbled by the gesture, Aamir has not only been wearing it regularly but will also sport it in Laal Singh Chadha in which he is said to play the role of a Sardar.

Laal Singh Chadha is the official adaptation of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump, which released in 1994. Written by Atul Kulkarni, the film is directed by Advait Chandan and will be produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions. As per reports, Aamir, for the film, will be losing around 20 kgs for his role. The actor, previously shared that he would be sporting a turban for some segments of the film, which was announced on his birthday in March. It is said to go on floors in November and will release during Christmas 2020.
