On August 29, Dharma Productions shared Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl's first look starring Janhvi Kapoor. The actress, who is all set to play the role of IAF Pilot Gunjan Saxena in her next, received appreciation from all over for her first poster.

Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl is a real-life story based on Gunjan who helped rescue and evacuate injured soldiers from Kargil in 1999. She, along with fellow lieutenant Srividya Rajan, fought and faced the enemy fire and brought all soldiers safe home. For her bravery, she was honoured with the Shaurya Chakra, an Indian military decoration. The film is helmed by debutant director Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi who will be playing Janhvi’s father in the film as well as Angad Bedi.
