Karan Johar directorial Takht is amongst one of the most awaited and highly hyped films recently. Featuring a stellar cast of Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, Takht is a period drama. And of late, there were reports doing the rounds that the film has been shelved, considering the debacle of Karan's last venture Kalank. However, the filmmaker, on several occasions, denied the reports, he finally made it refusal official by sharing a glimpse into the preparations of the film. Karan, on his Instagram stories, shared a tour of his office where it is evident that the pre-production work is going on in full swing.
Captioning the video as, "space to create," Karan drew focus on the board that read Takht and then the camera pans to pictures of Kareena, Janhvi, Anil, Vicky, Bhumi, Alia, Ranveer. Well, with his video, it is for sure that Takht is happening very soon and we can't really contain our excitement for further updates.

Takht is rumoured to go on floors in February 2020. The film is a historical drama based on the Mughal Era and apparently tells about the power struggle between Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan(Anil)’s son Dara Shikoh(Ranveer) and Aurangzeb(Vicky). The buzz suggests Janhvi playing the role of Nadira Banu Begum while Alia may play Dilras Banu Begum. Kareena is said to play Jahanara Begum.
