'Nothing more validating than this': Hrithik Roshan on Maharashtra government initiating special coaching for tribal students after Super 30 release

Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30, based on the life of educationist Anand Kumar, who runs the Super 30 programme for IIT-JEE aspirants from poor families, has been hailed by the audience and the critics alike. The film seems to have appealed to the big-city markets more than the mass audience and has been declared tax-free in several states, including Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, New Delhi and Maharashtra.

While the makers have been grateful to the state governments for making their film tax-free, the Maharashtra government recently announced a Super 50 scheme, taking a cue from educationist Anand Kumar's Super 30. The Super 50 scheme will reportedly select 50 of the state's brightest tribal students, who have cleared the SSC exams, and coach them for engineering and medical entrance exams. The decision on the scheme has come weeks after the release of Hrithik's Super 30 and as expected, the actor is elated at the recent development. Talking about it to a leading daily, Hrithik stated, "It made my day to know about the state government's initiative of providing special coaching to a group of 50 tribal students who have passed the SSC exams."

The actor further added that nothing is more validating for him than to see his film bring about a positive change. "I feel immensely grateful that our film has touched so many people," he signed off by saying.

The drama, which hit screens on July 12, has been directed by Vikas Bahl and also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Srivastava in pivotal roles.
