#MeToo: Kate Sharma withdraws her sexual harassment charges against Subhash Ghai

In a shocking and bewildering turn of events actress, Kate Sharma who had accused director Subhash Ghai of sexual misconduct and harassment and had filed a police complaint against him has now withdrawn her complaint. She apparently said that her case was not being handled by the police well.

A leading tabloid reported that the actress told the cops in a written note that she was “fed up” with the way her case was being handled. She said that since her mother was ailing she wants to focus on her health. She also said that her family has been quite disturbed after she levelled sexual harassment case against the filmmaker.

Kate also reasoned that nothing much has been done even though there have been several allegations in the #MeToo movement and people are really making fun of the movement. She said in her statement that no arrests have been made in any of the cases only FIRs have been registered.

She also said that the cops wanted her to register an FIR but she doesn’t see the need of it to get justice in her case as whatever she has to say is in the public domain. A senior police officer confirmed Kate’s stance and told the tabloid that they coaxed the actress to record her statement to pursue the investigations but she refrained from doing it in a written note.
