SP Charan says father SP Balasubrahmanyam is 'stable'; AR Rahman, Boney Kapoor and others wish him speedy recovery

Legendary playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam was moved to ICU after he tested Coronavirus positive on August 5 and was admitted for treatment. According to reports, his condition had deteriorated and he was put on life support. His condition remains critical, hospital authorities has said last evening. Now, SP Charan, son of SP Balasubrahmanyam, has issued a statement regarding his father's health.

In his statement, Charan said that his father is on a ventilator, but in stable condition. He further added that SP Balasubrahmanyam is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai. Charan also thanked the people who prayed for his father SP Balasubrahmanyam's recovery. His statement read, "Thanks a lot for all your concern and enquiries about my father's health. He is in ICU under ventilation. His condition is stable. Don't believe rumours. We will keep you updated about his progress regularly. Thanks again."

Several friends from the industry also wished the singer a speedy recovery. Shekhar Kapur, AR Rahman, Boney Kapoor, Dhanush, Ashwin, Anirudh Ravichander and Shashaa Tirupati prayed for him.
