Chiranjeevi thanks Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao for granting permission for shoots


Taking to Twitter, Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi thanked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the Telangana government for granting permission to resume shootings of Telugu films in the state. The CM granted permission to the film industry to resume shootings of the films that were put to an indefinite stop amid the Coronavirus lockdown. 

Shootings and post-production work were put on hold amid the Covid-19 lockdown. However, he noted that the shootings need to happen in a phased manner. The meeting was attended by prominent personalities from the Tollywood film industry at the CM's residence  at his official residence at Pragati Bhavan.

The Chief Minister issued advisory and strict guidelines that need to be followed along with lockdown norms. Preventive measures to contain COVID-19 and strict self-regulation will have to be implemented once the shootings resume. The CM also urged the officials to come up with guidelines to ensure safety during the shootings. The CM's decision was taken as lakhs of people's lives are hanging in the balance as their employment depends on the shootings. 

Regarding reopening of theatres, the CM said that it will be considered at a later stage after assessing the Coronavirus situation. Indoor shooting with less number of staff can now commence. In June, next phase will be implemented where post-production will be resumed. The meeting was attended by Tollywood personalities such as  Nagarjuna, D Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, N Shankar, SS Rajamouli, Dil Raju, Trivikram Srinivas, Radhakrishna, Koratala Siva and others.
