Rana Daggubati, dismissing all link-up rumours in the past, announced his engagement with Miheeka Bajaj yesterday. The South actor, on his Instagram account, shared a sweet picture with the prominent Hyderabad-based interior designer. Soon, Rana's post was flooded with congratulatory messages from Bollywood, Tollywood and his millions of fans. Apart from them, close family members showered love and blessings on the new couple in town. Joining the bandwagon was Sonam Kapoor Ahuja.
Sonam, who is Miheeka's close friend, on Instagram, shared the picture featuring the latter with her beau. The actress expressed her happiness and welcomed Rana to the family. "Congratulations my darling baby, Miheeka. I love you, doll. You deserve the best. Rana Daggubati better make you happy. Love you both! Welcome to the fam, Rana!" wrote Sonam.
For the unversed, Sonam's mother Sunita Kapoor is Miheeka's jewellery designer mother Bunty Bajaj's best friend. Not just this, Miheeka's brother Samarth Bajaj is married to Sasha Rawal, the sister of Kunal Rawal. Kunal is a close family friend of the Kapoors. Miheeka, time and again, shares pictures with Sonam and her sister Rhea Kapoor. She was also present at the actress's wedding in 2018.
Sonam's father Anil Kapoor, soon after Rana shared the announcement, dropped in a comment addressing him as his Hyderabad son. "Congratulations my hyderabad son .. I am so happy .. the best thing to happen to both of you," Anil wrote.
