Storyline

‘Rahu Ketu’ is a fun fantasy-comedy centered around two lovable, slightly clueless friends, Rahu (Varun Sharma) and Ketu (Pulkit Samrat). The two are on a quest to retrieve a magical notebook stolen by the cunning Meenu Taxi (Shalini Pandey). Their mission results in a clash with the drug mafia, a journey of self-discovery, and a confrontation with their own destiny. The narrative explores the clash between ancient beliefs and modern life, that results in a series of comical events that make the story very entertaining. This film is meant to be enjoyed without overthinking and it succeeds completely in that. 

Acting

The pairing of Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat brings the same reliable comedic magic that audiences have come to love. Their timing and body language elicit laughter on numerous occasions. Shalini Pandey brings strength and emotional balance to her role. Actors like Piyush Mishra, Chunky Panday, and Amit Sial provide strong support to the film and make their presence felt in every scene.

Direction 

Vipul Vig once again proves that comedy is his forte. After the ‘Fukrey’ franchise, he beautifully blends humor, fantasy, and emotions in ‘Rahu Ketu’. The film not only makes you laugh but also offers a subtle opportunity to reflect on fate and choices. The direction is clear and precise, which is why the film maintains a consistent tone throughout.

Dialogues 

The dialogues are lighthearted, situational, and refreshing. They enhance the humor while also strengthening the characters' personalities. They don't rely on direct punchlines, but rather derive humor from the situation, making the conversations naturally engaging and keeping the audience hooked.

Music 

The music is the soul of the film. The songs perfectly complement the mood of the story and linger in your mind long after you leave the theatre. The background score effectively enhances the comedic and fantasy elements.
