‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is an unique time-loop comedy starring Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan, a die-hard romantic from a small town. Ranjan believes his only chance at winning over his beloved Titli’s father is by landing a government job. Wamiqa Gabbi plays Titli with charm and flair. Just when things seem to fall in place, Ranjan finds himself stuck in a bizarre time loop — he is to get married on the 30th of the month, but wakes up every morning to find he is on the 29th – the day of his Haldi ceremony, the 30th just does not dawn. No matter what he does, he’s unable to break free. What follows is a humorous yet emotional ride that explores themes of love, fate, and second chances.

Acting

Rajkummar Rao once again proves he’s the king of small-town roles. As Ranjan, he’s relatable, funny, and full of heart. Wamiqa Gabbi as Titli truly justifies her name – she's graceful, funny, and emotionally compelling. Her comic timing and screen presence are so authentic. Raghubir Yadav (Ranjan’s father) and Seema Pahwa (his mother) shine in their supporting roles. However, the real magic of the film lies in Sanjay Mishra, who steals every scene he’s in.

Direction

Debut director Karan Singh Tyagi delivers a promising start. His grasp over small-town life is impressive. Simple yet effective touches — like Rajkummar riding a Splendor Plus — add relatability and authenticity. Although the film slows down at times, it never loses its charm.

Dialogues

Maddock Films continues its streak of witty and memorable dialogues. The humor feels effortless, and each character brings their own brand of quirkiness. The dialogues are laugh-out-loud funny, with plenty of moments that stay with you.

Music

Whether it’s romance, party or emotional moments, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ offers a well-rounded musical experience. Songs like ‘Chor Bazari Phir Se’ and ‘Sawariya Tera’ are already hits. The rest of the soundtrack complements the film beautifully.
