Angelina Jolie’s upcoming film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Now, Disney has given fans an intimate behind-the-scenes look at how Angelina transforms into the evil villain Maleficent. Walt Disney Studios shared a video that shows a team of make-up artists transforming Angelina into the antagonist. From putting cheek prosthetics to teeth elongation and headgear with horns, the video gives an amazing footage of how the actress becomes the dreaded villain.
In the video we see Angelina braiding her hair so that it fits in the horns. Her artificial cheekbones and headpiece are added in the video and finally, one piece of colour is added otherwise to a predominantly black-and-white video, with very very red lips. She certainly looks the part at the end of the clip.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sequel to the 2014 smash hit Maleficent that tells the story of Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will continue the story in a way that Disney’s animated classic Sleeping Beauty never did. In this film, we would probably get to see more of where Maleficent comes from and she would return to her more villainous ways.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil also stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer and Imelda Staunton. The film is all set to hit the theatres on October 18.
