Ed Sheeran is officially off the market as the popular singer is married now. In his new song Remember the Name featuring Eminem and 50 Cent, the singer finally confirms his marital status. Sheeran has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Cherry Seaborn. In the first thirty seconds of the song he makes a cheeky reference to his spouse singing, “My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick." The couple had started dating in September 2015 and got engaged in January 2018.
In an interview with Charlamagne The God, Sheeran revealed how he wanted to keep the wedding a secret before Remember the Name released. The song is a part of his album No.6 Collaborations Project. However, the news could not stay a secret for a long time and eventually leaked out but the singer never officially confirmed it till now. In the interview, he said, “I knew that we'd be married by the point that the song came out. So I said, 'Watch how the lyrics in this song might get twisted/My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick,' And I was like 'cause someone's going to hear that and be like, 'Oh they're married,' and I didn't know how that would be. But, obviously, it's already come out."

A leading daily had previously reported in February that the singer and his longtime girlfriend had tied the knot in December at their home in Suffolk, England, in front of 40 friends and family members. The couple apparently got married just a few days before Christmas with oldest school pals, limited family and the priest.
