In shocking news, Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing revealed that he suffered burn injuries from a fireplace explosion at his home, last year. The French designer shared pictures of sustained injuries, wrapped in heavy bandages.

“Exactly a year ago, the fireplace inside my house exploded. I woke up the next morning in Paris’ Hôpital Saint Louis. The talented staff at that famous hospital, which was dealing with an incredible number of COVID cases at that same time, took amazing care of me,” the designer stated in his social media post.  Rousteing said that he tried to keep this accident under the wraps for a long period of time. Making confessions of all sorts, the designer admitted to wearing wide gold bands on every knuckle and face masks, turtlenecks and long sleeves during the peak of summer to hide his scars during recovery.

However, a year later, the designer feels lucky, happy and free. “Now, a year later—healed, happy and healthy. I realize how truly blessed I am and I thank GOD every day of my life,” he continued. “Today, I feel so free, so good and so lucky. I’m beginning a new chapter with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude, there is always the sun after the storm,” the designer concluded his post. The only silver lining one can see from this episode is that Rousting’s accident from a year ago inspired Balmain’s Spring 22 collection during the Paris Fashion Week.

Trust Kim Kardashian to blow your mind with her fashion experiments, always. After raising eyebrows as well as dropping jaws with her MET gala look, the fashion moghul once again slipped into her Balenciaga number to stun us all over again.

Turning a host for the day for Saturday Night Live, the beauty and fashion entrepreneur opted for a hot pink, figure-skimming catsuit designed from a spandex fabric that rode high on shimmers. A feathered floor-sweeping coat added to the drama of her look, furthermore. What accentuated her monotone outfit were those studded, dazzling danglers, that served as a statement accessory.

In the makeup department, the beauty wiz opted for a matte glam look with a heavily contoured face, bronzed cheeks, filled-in brows and a glossy pink pout. Those sleek long tresses completed her look. Gosh!
