LVHM, parent company of Louis Vuitton, Givenchy ready to sell unused luxury fabrics for $4, move towards sustainability with the initiative Life 360

The French multinational fashion cooperation and conglomerate LVMH, the luxury giant behind brands including Dior, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and others, has launched a website and is reselling unused fabrics and leathers at bargain prices. This was in efforts to reduce waste generated by the fashion industry and move towards their goal of reaching sustainability in the next 10 years with an initiative called Life 360, an initiative that intends to upcycle and recycle all of their created designs and fabrics.

The website, Nona Source, went live on Monday and is based in Europe, with no hints of expansion into the US. A speaker for LVMH has confirmed that all brands under the LVMH umbrella are selling their good like Stella McCartney, Celine, and Givenchy to name a few.

The platform showcases dead stocks or sleeping beauties that are stored in the warehouses of LVMH. Adding to the sustainable vision, Nona Source favors local distribution and delivers only to Europe as the stocks are all located in France. All designers and creatives are required to register their company and make an account on the website to be able to purchase it. The website was created by 3 previous LVMH employees, Marie Falguera, Romain Brabo, and Anne Prieur du Perray, who now work full time on Nona Source, check on material quality, and try for an easier reach for designers looking to purchase. The platform offers buyers high-quality fabrics, leathers, and lace. No exclusive fabrics or branding cloth is available for purchase.

Environmentally friendly and sustainable, this is the right direction for fashion.
