Amidst the second wave of Europe Lockdown, Italian fashion house Gucci announced its plans of organizing a virtual fashion fest. Called Gucci Fest, this fashion soiree is all set to take place in the month of November.
Well, that’s just not it. Gucci will also unveil its latest collection at this virtual soiree. Called "Ouverture of Something that Never Ended," this collection would be showcased in the form of 7-part mini-film series. Directed by Gus Van Sant, and Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, this film will feature a star-studded cast of Billie Elish, Harry Styles, Florence Welch, Jeremy O. Harris, Silvia Calderoni, Paul B. Preciado, Achille Bonito Oliva, Darius Khonsary, Lu Han, Ariana Papademetropoulos, Arlo Parks and Sasha Waltz.
As a part of the fest, the label will also feature fashion films by upcoming designers like Collina Strada, Ahluwalia, Shanel Campbell, Stefan Cooke, Cormio, Charles De Vilmorin, JordanLuca, Mowalola, Yueqi Qi, Rave Review, Gui Rosa, Rui, Bianca Saunders, Boramy Viguier and Gareth Wrighton, all handpicked by Alessandro himself.
Gucci Fest will be streamed on YouTube, Weibo, and the dedicated site GucciFest.com from November 16 to November 22, 2020.
