Designer Ritu Kumar contributes her bit in fight against COVID-19 Pandemic; plans to make 50,000 non-surgical masks

With the outbreak of COVID-19 raging like wildfire, each one of us is doing this bit to aid in this ‘war against virus’. In the wake of such situations, the entire fashion fraternity has stood together like one big family and started production of non-surgical masks to fight this battle, head-on.       

Joining the bandwagon, designer Ritu Kumar also contributed her bit for this noble cause and started the production of reusable masks with a goal to deliver at least 50,000 of them at the earliest.

Ritu took it to her social media account and announced the same. To aid in this fight against COVID-19, her team has started the production of precautionary masks in their Gurgaon unit to be handed over to residents of the slums in Haryana. “In response to COVID-19, we are now producing precautionary masks in our Gurgaon production unit. These cotton masks are washable and reusable and are being disseminated to residents of the slums in Haryana.”, read her statement.

Ritu and her team have already delivered 1500 masks and aim to boost their production to hand over 50,000 masks at the earliest. “With a total of 1500 masks already delivered, our goal is to boost production so as to finish and hand over 50,000 masks at the earliest.”, the statement read.
