The designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are celebrating their 33 years in the fashion fraternity by giving us all a sneak peek into their glorious journey. The designers recently took it to their Instagram to share the ‘never-seen-before’ wedding pictures of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s darling daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda with businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. And by the looks of it; it was quite a regal affair.
The duo thanked Amitabh and Jaya for sharing these rare, unseen and inside pictures of the wedding and mentioned that it was a huge honour to be entrusted with such a big responsibility. The Bachchan’s wedding was the first-ever event done by AJSK and the duo handled everything from decors to ensembles of this elaborate affair.

Breaking the stereotypes, Shweta was a bold bride to pull off a white-hued lehenga before it was cool! For her mehendi functions, Mrs Nanda was dressed in a pristine white lehenga which featured intricate chikankari detailing. Her floral veil and ornaments complemented her statement-making white ensemble.
For the Sangeet shenanigans, Shweta was a ravishing vision to behold in her gold brocade khinkhaab ghagra which featured a gold zardozi vasli in a leafy tendril pattern. An elegant bejewelled necklace added a finishing touch to her ensemble. By her side, brother Abhishek Bachchan was seen dressed in a white sherwani with golden detailing.
For the grand dream wedding, the beautiful bride personified grace and grandeur dressed in velvet, maroon lehenga. Her dreamy, dreamy lehenga was filled with Tiny booties embroidered in resham, badla and crystals. A French net dupatta with a floral border completed her ensemble. Elegant accessories added a dainty touch to her look.
While the mother of the bride, Jaya was seen wearing an exquisite red bandhani ghagra saree with lavish floral zardozi embroidery.
Incorporating a major white element for the bride in her wedding wardrobe, AJSK shared another picture of the mother-daughter duo dressed in a delicate chikankari ensemble. Crafted in real silver and antique gota borders with Zardozi embroidery at the hem, the dress exquisitely complemented the bride’s fragile beauty. Delicate emerald necklace and a flower braided hairdo completed her look. As for Jaya, she chose to look serene in an entirely embroidered saree featuring chikan jaali work in the Tagar flower motif.
Glorious then and glorious now, Abu and Sandeep's journey in the fashion arena has been nothing but regal and resplendent and their work stand the absolute proof!
