Time and again, tennis legend, Serena Williams has proved that she isn't the one to be told what she should wear on the court. Just days after French Tennis Federation banned the star from wearing a catsuit on the playground, Serena made a comeback with a beautiful tutu dress at the US Open. A beautiful amalgamation of athletic wear with the fashion, she deffo slammed her opponents and critics in a subtle, sartorial way.
Check out the star in her iconic cat-suit in which she felt like a warrior.
For the first US Open match, Serena debuted in a black one-shoulder tutu dress making every jaw drop. She wore a custom-designed dress by designer and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh in collaboration with Nike.
Completed the outfit with fishnet tights and a pair of sparkly silver NikeCourt Flare sneakers.
Ballet or ball-game, Serena? We reckon you'd ace at both!
For another match, Serena stunned the world with her applause-worthy serve and a mesmerizing lavender tutu dress. The outfit had Virgil's signature Logo embellishments and a custom Serena detail on the wrist.
Serena discussed her US Open ensemble with a leading magazine and quoted saying that her newest outfit choice made her feel strong yet feminine at the same time.
Well, this certainly is one 'THE' moments Serena had on the field and surprisingly, it's not because of her fine athletic skills...but athleisure skills! (Get it?)
