Cannes 2018: Let Sonam Kapoor give you major bridal goals with her sartorial picks

Sonam Kapoor, who flew to France just days after her high-profile wedding with longtime beau Anand Ahuja to attend the 71st Cannes Film Festival, certainly knows how to slay and how! We wonder how she prepped up for the biggest fashion gala of the year because seeing her sartorial choices, we are in awe.

The 32-year old diva, who is attending the Festival de Cannes to represent cosmetics giant L’Oreal Paris, has become a name to reckon with in not only the Indian fashion but in the international arena too. From choosing varied dressing style ranging in bright, bold, pastels to opting for designers labels like Ralph & Russo and Vera Wang, it won’t be wrong to call Sonam a Cannes veteran.

Let’s take a look at how the newlywed made heads turn at the red carpet this year.

Elegance personified

Sonam kicked off her Cannes journey by looking chic yet stylish as ever. Wearing a black polka dot maxi dress paired with a matching scarf by Mother of Pearl from their Spring 2018 collection, Sonam rounded off her look with black Chloe lace up boots, a Bottega Veneta bag and glasses from Victoria Beckham.

Fairy tale princess

For her maiden appearance at the red-carpet this year, Sonam opted for a custom-made lehenga by her designer friends Ralph and Russo. Styled by sister Rhea Kapoor and Deep Kailey, her ivory crop top and the voluminous skirt with a train made her look just out of a fairytale. Her look was rounded off with earrings from Chopard and she wore her hair in a loose-braid with a custom-made parandi (jada-choti) from Amrapali. A subtle hint of blush and glossy lips accentuated her look further.

Proud NEWLYWED

For her next look as she attended the auction dinner for NGO Positive Planet, Sonam opted for a floral print midi dress by Delpozo with mint green bust and tulle sleeve details. Sonam rounded off her look with teal statement earrings from de Grisogono and red clutch from Jimmy Choo. Though she opted for beautiful red stilettos from Charlotte Olympia, we just could not take our eyes off her henna-clad feet.

STEALIN' HUBBY'S SHIRT

For shooting an advertisement, Sonam next slipped into a white Simone Rocha top and jeans from her husband Anand Ahuja’s brand Bhane Love, Sonam completed her casual yet classy look by wearing embellished flats from Sergio Rossi. Her bold berry pout and golden hoop earrings with her hair tied in a messy bun added the much-needed drama to an otherwise basic outfit.

Candy stripes

With her next fashion outing, Sonam not only soaked under the French sun but grabbed eyeballs with her stunning sartorial pick. Sonam went for the classic game of stripes by wearing an Emilia Wickstead outfit, Sophia Webster heels with Bottega Veneta sunglasses. She rounded off the look with pearl earrings, red lips and minimal makeup with her hair tied in a sophisticated low ponytail.

Quintessential English bride

For her second appearance at the Cannes red carpet, the Neerja star looked classy in Vera Wang pastel gown from the bridal collection. Brownie points to her for nailing the quintessential English bride look. She kept her makeup minimal with a tint of pink on the lips, letting her eyes do all the talking with bright yellow eyeshadow. Rounding off her with a sophisticated bun and earrings from Chopard, she dazzled like it’s nobody’s business.
