‘Accused’ Becomes First Indian Film to Trend in 72 Countries, Clocks 7.5 Million Views in Week One

Accused has made history upon its release on Netflix. It has become the first Indian film to trend in 72 countries worldwide. Furthermore, it ranked No. 1 in five countries this week, while also securing the second spot on Netflix's Top 10 Movies (Non-English) global list.

In its first week alone, the film received 7.5 million views, a significant record. With this figure, Accused surpasses recent popular films like Saiyaara (3.7M), Haq (3.4M), Animal (6.2M), Pushpa 2: The Rule (5.8M), and Dhoom Dham (4.1M).

This psychological drama has generated widespread discussion among audiences due to its deep and uncomfortable questions. Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Ranta deliver powerful performances, adding to the story's impact. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Adar Poonawalla.

It has become one of Netflix's most talked-about Indian original films of the year. The success of 'Accused' demonstrates that Indian content is now firmly establishing itself among global audiences.
