The controversy that arose over the presence of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Diljit Dosanjh's film 'Sardarji 3' is now slowly coming to an end. While on one hand Diljit Dosanjh has started working on his upcoming projects, now veteran actor Anupam Kher's statement has come out on this whole matter. In a conversation with NDTV, Anupam Kher said that Diljit has every right to express his opinion and take decisions. He said, “This is his fundamental right, and he should get complete freedom to fulfill it. But as far as I am concerned, I probably won't do that.”
Clarifying his point, Anupam Kher compared the country to his home and Pakistan to the neighbor. He said, “Suppose someone slapped my father, but he sings very well or plays the tabla, should I invite him to my house and let him perform? No, I will not be able to do that. I am not that great. I will not slap him, but I will not give him the right to come to my house either.” Anupam Kher further said, “Just like I follow the rules of my house, I do the same for my country. I am not that great that I can see my family being insulted in the name of art. Yes, those who accept all this have full right.”
Currently Anupam Kher is in the headlines for his next film 'Tanvi the Great', which he has directed himself and in which he will also be seen in the lead role. This film is releasing in theaters on July 18. Before this, Anupam Kher was seen in 'Metro In Dinon'.His comment has become a topic of discussion on social media, and many people are praising his outspoken opinion.
