"India believes in peace, but not at the cost of barbaric acts," says Dibyendu Bhattacharya as he applauds Operation Sindoor

In the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that shook the nation, acclaimed actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya has voiced his outrage and unwavering support for the Indian Security Forces. As the country reels from the senseless violence inflicted on innocent civilians, Dibyendu commended the swift and strategic response through Operation Sindoor, a mission that reinforced India’s resolve to protect its people and uphold justice without compromise.

He added, “The Pahalgam attack was a brutal and cowardly act against innocent civilians, completely uninvolved in any conflict. Such a merciless ambush is utterly inexcusable. Today, I stand proud of our nation and armed forces for their decisive response. Their swift action sends a powerful message — while India believes in peace, we will never allow that to be mistaken for weakness.” He further shared, "I am a strong believer in the futility of war! But the heinous and barbaric act against humanity in Pahalgam is pure terrorism which India has struck back against today! I am proud of Indian Armed Forces and proud of my nation. Vande Mataram."

Dibyendu reflected further, "I am a peace loving person and strongly believe in the futility of war. War regresses not only nations but the entire human civilisation by centuries. But at the same time I condemn terrorism from the bottom of my heart. Killing innocent people, tourists particularly with no ulterior motives is an act of cold blooded terrorism which needs to be eradicated from this world. We need to investigate who the actual terrorists are and teach them a lesson. I am very proud that India has struck back against this heinous act. I plead not only to our Government but to the nations across the world to unanimously stand up against terrorism!"

At a time when words carry the weight of collective grief and resilience, Dibyendu’s statement echoes the sentiments of millions of Indians. His voice adds to the chorus of solidarity that honours the fallen, supports the brave, and reaffirms that while India extends a hand of peace, it will always stand tall and unyielding in the face of terror.
