Vicky Kaushal on shooting ‘Chhava’: Film that took the most out of me

Vicky Kaushal is known for his versatility and is loved by the audience. Over the years, the actor has managed to create a massive fan base in the industry and continues to impress the audience whenever he is on the screens. 

Recently, the actor spoke about his upcoming film ‘Chhava’ where he will star alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The actor said that portraying his role in the film has been one of the most challenging roles so far but he is glad he got to portray his character. He also called the film ‘special’ and said that it led to the massive transformation in him. 

The actor said in an interview, "It's probably the film that's taken the most out of me physically, emotionally. It was
that kind of potent film in its drama, emotions,
and everything."

Based on Chhatrapati Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the actor further said that he is excited for the final release of the project. The actor also shared that although the film’s shooting has been concluded which he shared on his Instagram story in the month of May, the post- production is still in the process and it will take some more time for the makers to bring the ready project for the audience. 

Meanwhile, the actor is promoting his upcoming film ‘Bad Newz’ which stars Triptii Dimri and Punjabi actor Ammy Virk alongside Vicky. The film is a comedy drama and is set to hit the big screens on July 19. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, fans have been quite excited for the project after the makers unveiled the songs and the trailer of the film. 

Prior to it, Vicky acted in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial ‘Sam Bahadur’ which was a biopic of Sam Manekshaw. The film released last year in the month of December and also featured Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sheikh. The film was also praised and fans even commented that the actor should get a national award for his act.
