Priyanka Chopra Jonas says she feels mom guilt while leaving Malti Marie at home, reveals 'My daughter thinks I do make-believe for a living'

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has decoded the mantra to balance her personal and professional lives without compromise. She's a mother to a baby girl named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. While being a hands-on mom, Priyanka is a thorough professional. Talking about managing her mommy duties and shoot schedules, the actress told in an interview with Quint Neon that she does suffer from 'mom guilt'.

When asked about Malti Marie's reaction to her profession, Priyanka said, "My daughter thinks I do make-believe for a living. It is a little different." Opening up about suffering from mom’s guilt every time she leaves Malti Marie home, she added, "I have so many people around my daughter, but I still feel guilty when I go to set. So, I have her come to me (on shoots). I am privileged… my mom used to take me to hospitals with her and I used to be in the nurses’ station playing with them… I would visit my dad’s office too… this is one thing that really helped me understand what my mom and dad (Ashok Chopra) were doing when they weren’t with me and I went to school."

Crediting her mother, Madhu Chopra, for taking care of Malti Marie, Priyanka shared, "Malti is at home with my mom, which is really nice. My mom was telling me a story about how when she went to work, when I was younger, she’d leave me with my grandma and go to work feeling a sense of calm. And I think she’s returning the favour to me, which is lovely,” said Priyanka, who was in France for the shoot of her upcoming project."

Recently, Priyanka shared multiple pictures from the day she took Malti Marie to her film set.
