Anil Kapoor's performance in Nayak receives appreciation from Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Anil Kapoor has delivered some of the most memorable roles in his career, including his film 'Nayak'. The film has often been discussed by his fans, and now, it has grabbed headlines all over again. Recently, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, during a candid conversation with Maniesh Paul on the latter's podcast, revealed that he "liked" Anil Kapoor's role in the S Shankar directorial, which sees the actor take the position of Chief Minister for a day.

Shinde was asked if he had ever dreamt of becoming a Chief Minister or took inspiration from the 2001 release to which he replied, “Film film hai, reality reality hai aur kuch bhi nahi (while films may inspire, the reality is reality and nothing else)." The politician also revealed that he admired the proactive approach of Anil Kapoor's character in 'Nayak'. It is interesting how 'Nayak' has stood the test of time. In fact, there were speculations around 'Nayak 2', which surfaced after Anil Kapoor was spotted with director S Shankar in Mumbai.
