In an unfortunate accident, Pankaj Tripathi lost his brother-in-law, Rakesh Tiwari, yesterday. According to reports, his sister Savita Tiwari has been hospitalised after sustaining injuries. Reportedly, the accident took place at around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2.

As per reports, Pankaj's sister and brother-in-law were heading to West Bengal from Gopalganj district of Bihar yesterday afternoon when their car hit a road divider. According to the initial probe, the police said in a statement to PTI that Rakesh was driving the car and when it lost control, it hit the road divider. The couple was rushed to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH). Rakesh was declared dead on arrival whereas Savita reportedly fractured her leg and is out of danger now.

The cops are currently investigating the matter. Pankaj and his family are yet to issue an official statement on the same.
