Raashii Khanna calls herself 'lucky' for being a part of Yodha: Wanted to become an IAS officer, saw that side with this role

Raashii Khanna has established herself as a pan-India face with illustrious work in the Hindi and South film fraternities. Now, she is leading Dharma Productions' upcoming film, Yodha, with Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani. While the film is about a soldier's mission to rescue passengers on a hijacked flight, there's going to be enough drama on ground too. Raashii takes centre stage there.

On February 29, the makers of Yodha hosted a trailer launch and a press conference in Ahmedabad. During the same, Raashii spoke about playing one of central characters in the action thriller. She said, "I have always wanted to be an IAS officer, and I think destiny brought me into cinema. I was very lucky to play this role because I saw that side! I play the role of a government official who is responsible for negotiations. There was always this intensity on set, while reading the script they said that you’re the “lady YODHA” on ground who’s negotiating and I realised the importance of communication, and how important it is in such situations. So there is a lot I take away from this film."

Yodha is presented by Prime Video and Dharma Productions in association with Mentor Disciple Entertainment. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan. The film releases on March 15. Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha make their directorial debut with the actioner.
