Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 collects over Rs 148 crores in 3 days at domestic box office, becomes highest first weekend opener of Tiger franchise

There is no doubt that the Tiger franchise has always received massive response from the audience and the excitement for Tiger 3 is only sky rocketing with each passing day. The box office numbers are the proof to it, as the film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead managed to cross Rs 40 crores at the domestic box office on the first day of its release which was on not so ‘auspicious day’ as it was on the day of Laxmi Pooja and that’s too on Sunday! 

Continuing with the great start, the film went on to break the box office collection of Jawan’s second day by earning over Rs 59.25 crores compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which had over Rs 53 crores.

And seems like the film is here to rule as its performance is keeping it up high at the box office. On the third day, Tiger 3 has managed to earn over Rs 44.75 crores, making the total collection of Rs 148.50 crores.

Box office Day 1: Rs  44.50 crores 

Box office Day 2: Rs 59.25 crores

Box office Day 3: Rs  44.75 crores 

Total: Rs  148.50 crores 

The collection of the film has also become the highest first weekend opener in the entire Tiger franchise including Ek Tha Tiger (2012) which stood at Rs 60.35 crores and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) which had over Rs 114.93 crores. 

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 released on November 12 and also has the cameos of Shah Rukh in the role of Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan aka Kabir from War (2019).
