Bad Boy Emraan Hashmi making Telugu debut in ‘OG’ opposite Pawan Kalyan

Emraan Hashmi, whose last Bollywood release – Selfiee with Akshay Kumar – did not fare well at the box office, has other plans up his sleeve to mark his 20th year in cinema. The actor, who made his debut in 2003 with Vikram Bhatt’s Footpath, is going South to make his Telugu debut this year in Sujeeth’s OG.

Interestingly, Emraan will play the baddie opposite Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan. It is a gangster film that is currently being shot in Hyderabad. The film’s maker is RRR producer D. V. V. Danayya. OG also has veteran actor Prakash Raj in a prominent role alongside Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das and Sriya Reddy.

Thrilled about making his Telugu debut, Emraan went onto social media to say, “I am excited to embark on this new journey with OG. The movie has a gripping script. It offers me a challenging role. I am looking forward to work with Pawan Kalyan sir, Sujeeth sir and the team.”

Simultaneously, Emraan will keep working on his villain’s role in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. This is the third part of the Tiger franchise and is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Tiger 3 will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu this Diwali.
