Sriram Raghavan’s thriller drama Merry Christmas, like Santa’s sack of goodies, has just got bigger and more exciting with the surprise inclusion of Radhika Apte to the new pairing of Katrina Kaif with Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi. The film was slated for release in Christmas 2022 and the stars even shared a bold poster where the hands of a woman and a man are seen holding wine glasses that appear to be broken after a clink. Now, trade buzz is that it will open in the holiday Christmas-New Year week this year.

Raghavan had earlier worked with Radhika in Badlapur and Andhadhun and is reportedly respectful of the actress’ raw and earthy talent. Radhika is believed to be playing an important cameo in Merry Christmas – a film that IMDb describes as an uneventful Christmas eve that turns the world of two people upside down. Merry Christmas is Sethupathi’s Bollywood debut and is being made in Hindi and Tamil. Raghavan, according to Katrina, is a master when it comes to narratives that showcase thrillers. The film is being produced by Ramesh Taurani and Sanjay Routray.
