Ranbir Kapoor reacts to winning Dadasaheb Phalke award for Brahmastra, says 'I don’t think I fully deserve it'

Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor Award for Brahmastra at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards held on Monday. While he was busy promoting his next film titled Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Alia Bhatt received the trophy on his behalf. 

Reacting to the win, Ranbir told at an event that he feels he didn't deserve the award fully for Brahmastra. The actor was promoting Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar when he was asked about it. "I am very grateful for the honour. I don’t think I fully deserve it for Brahmastra. Voh bahut badi kuch acting performance nahi thi," Ranbir told.

Brahmastra was one of the biggest hits of 2022. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. It was the first part of the fantasy trilogy. Apart from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir will be seen in Animal this year.
