Addinath Kothare recalls working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas on his directorial Paani, says 'I am truly blessed for being able to work with her so closely'

Addinath Kothare is a well-known face in the Marathi cinema industry. He made his debut in the Hindi film industry with 83 by playing the role of former cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar. He also appeared in the second season of the web series City Of Dreams and in many blockbuster Marathi movies, and one of his directorial movies Paani which was produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and also won a National Award. 

Talking about Priyanka, the producer of Paani, Addinath said, "Priyanka is such an amazing person, when I was shooting for film 83, that’s when the National Awards were announced and my film 'Paani' won the national award. Priyanka Chopra surprised me by sending me a lovely gift to my hotel room. She got to know where I am residing through Kabir sir’s wife Mini Mathur and sent a lovely bouquet with a bottle of wine."

He also spoke about her sweet gestures and shared, "These small gestures count a lot to me and that too coming from a superstar like her is big. She is an inspiration, I look up to her as a role model. The way she has achieved things with lots of hard work is surely a motivation for newcomers."

Adding her involvement in Paani while shooting for Quantico, Addinath told, "I remember she was shooting for Quantico when we were developing Paani and she used to take out time from her busy schedule to speak to us and to give updates on the script." He added, "When the film was ready for the final cut she had her comments and feedback which were very essential for us."

Addinath, while expressing gratitude towards Priyanka, said, "I am happy to have her as a producer for my debut directorial movie Paani, which won the National Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation and I am truly blessed for being able to work with her so closely."
