Boney Kapoor has cleared the air about Janhvi Kapoor's Tamil debut. Reports of the actress signing director Lingusamy's Paiyaa 2 with Arya went viral recently. It was being said that Janhvi will be starring opposite Arya in the sequel of the Tamil film Paiyaa. The lead roles in Paiyaa were played by Karthi and Tamanaah Bhatia. Boney revealed that his daughter has not committed to doing any Tamil movies as of now.
Boney refuted the reports and clarified on Twitter saying, "Dear Media Friends, This is to bring to your notice that Janhvi Kapoor has not committed to any Tamil Films at the moment, requesting not to spread false rumors."

Earlier, at an event, Janhvi had expressed her wish to act in South movies. "I’ve Bawaal, which should release very soon. There’s Mr and Mrs Mahi… I’m hoping to do a south film very soon," she said.
