Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are all set to tie the knot today. Their pre-wedding festivities began on February 17 and several photos and videos from their Mehendi function went viral. Now, a video is doing the rounds on the internet which shows Shibani's younger sister Anusha Dandekar and close friend Rhea Chakraborty performing on Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's famous song Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna.
In the video, Anusha, Apeksha Dandekar, Rhea and Shibani's friends from abroad, are seen dancing to Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge's iconic song. The video is from Farhan and Shibani's mehendi ceremony in Mumbai. The venue for the event was Farhan's Mumbai home and the guest also list included Shabana Azmi and Amrita Arora, among others.
Farhan and Shibani's intimate Maharashtrian traditional ceremony is scheduled for today (February 19) at Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra.
Javed Akhtar had earlier mentioned that it will be an intimate ceremony. “Taking the situation into consideration it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people. It will be a very simple affair. Khair abhi tak toh invitations bhi nahi bheje gaye hai (We are yet to send out the invitations).” He also called Shibani a ‘very nice girl’ and said that the family likes her a lot.
