From promoting talent & innovation to rooting for the film industry, here are instances where Hrithik Roshan used social media for the greater good


Over the years Hrithik Roshan has emerged as one of the most popular and influential names on the social media platform. While the superstar has given us ample doses of wit and humour via his social media channels, he has also on several occasions used social media to make a difference, bring a change, spread smiles and promote talent.

Here are instances from 2021, where Hrithik Roshan used social media to spread cheer and kindness-

1) Fan Interactions – The superstar personally reached out to his fans like Bratati and Ayan on Twitter to wish them a happy birthday and also thank them for their undying love and support.

2) Support during the pandemic – Hrithik made generous donations to the Cine & TV Artists Association and contributed face masks to the I Love Mumbai Foundation. Twinkle Khanna, too gave him a shoutout for helping out during the crisis in multiple ways. The superstar not only helped raise funds for Jay Shetty’s initiative Help India Breathe but also personally donated 15,000 dollars.

3) Promoted talent and innovation – Hrithik took to Twitter to applaud a budding musician for his talent and innovation, who took to the streets to perform and reach out to people with the power of UPI and technology. He promoted singer Namita Choudhary’s song Chaap Tilak by using it in a throwback post for Jodhaa Akhbar and Osho Jain’s Khush Toh Hai Na on his Instagram stories. The actor even highlighted the page ‘That Music Project’ that sheds light on the stories behind the music and even merited a fan for his imaginative Wattpad storyline for Krrish4. Die-hard Hrithik Roshan fan and dance influencer Tarun Namdev was also in for a shock of his life when Hrithik reached out to him to praise his work that often pays tribute to the actor. Hrithik continues to be a supporter and encourager of his talent. 

4) Gender Dysphoria – While this continues to remain a subject of heated discussion and is still taboo across the country, Hrithik Roshan, has been open about his support towards the community which was evident when the superstar responded to a transwoman, Dr Trinetra Haldar’s story of bullying and her strength and determination to overcome it. 

5) Assistance via Social Media – While anyone would have browsed through a fan’s comment at a passing glance, leave it to Hrithik to pay attention and go out of the way to do something kind for a fan! When a fan requested free AC servicing, Hrithik’s comment actually got her a year of free servicing. 

6) Inspirational shares – On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Hrithik gave a shoutout to Indian participants at the Paralympics 2021. Not only did he praise their unstoppable spirit but called them examples to live by as he paid tribute to them on the occasion. 

7) Roots for the film industry - Gracious with his appreciation for fellow actors and co-stars, Hrithik is always among the first to watch new releases and share his feedback. Quite recently he spoke about the team of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. To Ayushmann he wrote, “You are one of the finest actors of Indian cinema my friend. It’s been a long time since I got inspired like this”. He also tweeted to WAR co-star Vaani Kapoor, “Talent like yours is rare and special. You were nothing less than brilliant” and to friend and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor he said, “What I saw in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was your heart and goodness mixed with an incredible sense of commercial entertainment – I cried and laughed and had goose flesh. What else does a film need to do”.
