Salman Khan opens up about his snake bite incident, says 'it bit me thrice, it was a kind of poisonous'

In a major scare on the eve of his birthday, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan was bitten by a snake at the family's sprawling farmhouse in Panvel, around 45 km from the outskirts of Mumbai. The incident happened in Khan's Panvel farmhouse after he arrived from a shooting assignment early on Sunday morning. Salman was admitted in M.G.M. Hospital in Kamothe after the incident and was discharged after 6 hours.

Now, talking about the incident, Salman told a news agency, "A snake had entered my farmhouse, I took it outside using a stick. Gradually it reached onto my hand. I then grabbed it to release, which is when it bit me thrice. It was a kind of poisonous snake. I was hospitalized for 6 hours...I am fine now."

After returning fit and fine from the hospital, like every year, Salman celebrated his birthday with the media and his friends and family members last night. The actor even cut a cake with the paparazzi present there to cover bhai's big day.

Christened 'Arpita Farms', Salman's family property is situated in a secluded, thickly forested area, spread across nearly 150-acres - which the Khan clan had bought more than two decades ago, and remains in tune with nature.
