Actress-politician Smriti Irani, famously known on television for playing Tulsi in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has a reason to celebrate. The former on-screen 'saas' is all set to become real-life 'saas' as her daughter Shanelle Irani got engaged to Arjun Bhalla.
Sharing the news, Smriti posted a series of pictures on her Instagram page. In one of the pictures, Arjun can be seen proposing to Shanelle at a picturesque location. The actress-politician gave a hilarious caption to the post. She wrote, "To the man who now has our heart @arjun_bhalla welcome to our madcap family. Bless you for you have to deal with a crazy man for a father in law & worse .. me for a Saas … (you have been officially warned) God bless @shanelleirani #newbeginnings"
Smriti's close friend and producer Ekta Kapoor reacted to the news and wrote, "U prayed so hard for this. Sooo happieeeee."
Smriti is currently the Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development. She is married to Zubin Irani and has three children, Zohr, Zoish and Shanelle.
