Anushka Sharma pens a thank you note for the paparazzi for not publishing pictures of daughter Vamika, says 'we seek privacy for our child'

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have always requested members of the media fraternity and the paparazzi to refrain from sharing/clicking pictures of their daughter Vamika. Recently, the couple was seen boarding a flight to South Africa with Vamika in the actor's arms. While the majority of the paparazzi refrained from making Vamika's photos public, a few media websites published some. Now, Anushka has penned a thank you note for the media fraternity and Indian paparazzi for not publishing their little girl's photos and videos.

Anushka wrote on her Instagram story, "We are deeply thankful to the Indian paparazzi and most of the media fraternity for not publishing pictures/videos of Vamika. As parents, our request to the few who carried the images/video will be to support us going forward. We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media."

"As she is older, we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice (retrain) in the matter. A special thank you to fan clubs and people of the internet for going out of your way to not post images. It was kind and highly mature of you,” the statement added.

When Virat and Anushka welcomed Vamika, they had shared a similar statement requesting the paps to not photograph their daughter. A part of their joint statement read, "As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support. While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child."
