Freida Pinto and her husband Cory Tran are proud parents of a baby boy. The Slumdog Millionaire actress announced the birth of her child, named Rumi-Ray, on Instagram today. She shared glimpses of the little one without revealing his face. Freida penned a lovely note for Cory on his birthday and called him a 'Super-Dad'.
"Happy Birthday Dada Cory! I celebrate you my husband, friend and partner in life. To see you become not just a Dad but Super-Dad makes me so emotional and fills me with joy. It also gives this sleep deprived Mama a break and you have no idea how much I appreciate that! I am so grateful and in love with how we do life together. Love you madly. Rumi-Ray you are one lucky boy!" Freida wrote.
Freida and Cory got married secretly amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The actress met her husband through actor Aaron Paul, her co-star in the drama series The Path. In an interview, Freida said she didn't want a big fat wedding. "Honestly, I have to say if any of you have planned a wedding, you probably know this, I do not want stomach ulcers from planning my own wedding. This was perfect! We got married and then we got to go home and take an afternoon nap," she told.
The actress announced her pregnancy in June and flaunted a baby bump in an Instagram post.
