Shah Rukh Khan features in 'Not Just A Cadbury Ad', pays an ode to small businesses affected adversely due to COVID-19 pandemic

Diwali is around the corner and several brands have launched their promotional campaigns. Amid the enthusiasm, Cadbury released their latest advertisement that has caught attention for the right reasons. Titled 'Not Just A Cadbury Ad', the 2.18-minute clip is an effort to promote small businesses that were affected adversely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.

Bollywood's King a.k.a Shah Rukh Khan joined hands with Cadbury to become the brand ambassador of local businesses. Before the superstar appears on the screen, some of the many shopkeepers and small business owners make the audience realise their plight.

In the clip, Shah Rukh promotes local stores (like Kirana, footwear, and electronics) by directly naming the shop. Cadbury further explains in the video that through a dedicated website, users can create their customised advertisement featuring Shah Rukh. Using technology like AI (Artificial Intelligence), the actor's face and voice can be recreated to take the local store’s name in the personalised advertisement. To create the ad, a user had to provide information like name, Whatsapp number, location, etc.

Netizens are lavishing praise on the company's initiative. The video has gone viral and is being loved by all.
