As Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s iconic film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam completes 22 years today, leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to Instagram to pen down a heartfelt note. She shared several pictures from the sets of the film which shows her in conversation with Bhansali as well as her solitary pictures. However, in her note she refrained from mentioning her leading co-stars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn.
Aishwarya wrote, “22 years of “HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM”I am reminded, by such an outpouring of love… but my dearest Sanjay… This one is evergreen… Forever… THANK YOU… and to ALL our audience world over… and my everLOVING family of well-wishers… THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR LOVE…ALWAYS Much LOVE too.”
Aishwarya was dating Salman at that time and had an ugly break up, and is no longer on talking terms with him. However, she went on to do several films with Ajay later on in her career and the two were a hit pair.
Earlier in the day, Bhansali and Salman had shared posts on social media remembering the milestone that their film has achieved today.
