Akshay Kumar hospitalised as precautionary measure after testing positive for COVID-19

Akshay Kumar, on Sunday morning, tested positive for COVID-19. The actor has been shooting for Abhishek Sharma's Ram Setu in Mumbai. According to reports, the Bollywood superstar is asymptomatic and was to remain in home quarantine for 14 days. However, Akshay has been shifted to a hospital. The superstar informed his fans that it is just a precautionary measure and he is doing fine. 

Akshay, on Twitter, issued a statement that read, "Thank you for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care."

On the other hand, 45 out of 100 junior artistes who were expected to join Ram Setu's set today (April 5) have contracted the Coronavirus. They have been quarantined. Akshay, on Sunday, informed his fans about his diagnosis. He wrote, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!"
